Oil pressure or oil temp gauge?

Redoing my gauges along with repower, Whippled 525efi. Plan as of now is Simrad GO9 that will display smartcraft along with 4 analog 2-5/8" gauges. I'm figureing water pressure, fuel pressure from fuel regulator (smartcraft picks up fuel pressure at fuel rail), vacuum/boost, and then oil pressure or oil temp? I'm thinking oil temp because the smartcraft picks up oil pressure already. Thanks for any advice.

As long as you can get quick notification from the smart craft on oil pressure, oil temp is good to have. BUT, things being equal if one had to choose one or the other, defintely oil pressure. Something you want to catch fast.

It's fairly easy to set up a warning light. You could pick one or the other.

As long as the smart craft displays pressure, I would run the temp like you said.

Thanks for the input guys. Another question to go along with the temp gauge idea is where to pick up the oil temp? I've read that some drill and tap the remote filter mount because that should be before the oil cooler?

It would be nice to hook up the simrad to get an idea of how the engine info is displayed while using the maps to make sure I could have a good view of the oil pressure as well as other things
