Can someone please Identify this 280 K plane part!

I'm going to be installing a set of Mercury 280 K planes on my boat, this is the first set i've ever installed.

I've been trying to do some research and have yet to see any pics of tabs with these wires/connector. Is this for an electronic indicator? These tabs that I have did not come with the typical cable style indicator.

Please help!

the latest version mercury K plates are capable of working with the smartcraft system . thats what those three wires are used for.

Thank you!

So this would mean that I just need electronic indicators and no old style mechanical cable, correct?

Yes,
I would verify the sender protocol with the electronic indicator protocol there are different ones out there. (CAN bus, Smartcraft or SAEJ1939)
