Not enough freeboard for family fun, that's made for fishing.

It would be used for fishing mostly. But I'd occasionally like to do some tubing with our 16 yr old...it that not possible with this type of boat?

You can go tubing with anything, may not be fun for little ones or family members. I would chase a small center console with outboard, it can do everything like an SUV. This is more of a performance boat website, if your going after fishing boats maybe find more info on thehulltruth.com
