Where should the oil filter be located?
 
I'm replumbing my oil sustem to include a thermostat and it got me to wondering.

Anyone have pics of the best place to locate an oil filter head?

HP6A Head mount & filter,Our Billet HP6A remote filter head mount is CNC machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum with large 3/4" NPT oil ports in/out and four 1/8" NPT ports for any oil pressure senders and/or switches. It can be mounted anywhere you want. On my 24 Outlaw, I made a bracket and mounted it to the transom.

I am doing the same thing and ended up getting one of those billet brackets with the Hardin remote filter.

Does anyone prefer it to be mounted threads up or down?
