Hi Need alittle help here..use to run bravos , but are getting into 41 apache and ssm3, trannies etc..bought everything from different people..how do I allign drive, tranny, engine correct..have 4 engine mount holes. Also do I mount tranny on engine and slide it into the
inner transom?Thanks for your input.

Mount the trans onto the bellhousing, then install the engines. You are going to need a SSM alignment bar. Are you using front and rear engine plates? Or just the fronts?

the bar is the same but the puck that goes into the helmet is smaller on a SSM drive... just went thru this on the weekend with another buddy up here... he bought a TRS alignment tool thinking they're the same, and found that the locator puck doesn't go into the recv'r register in the helmet!!

a Quick trip to the lathe will fix that though... :angry-smiley-044:

Does he wanna rent his bar as I will be doing the same install in my 36 Warlock Cat in the next week or so?
