Camshaft ID help
 

Hey! I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a camshaft with the numbers 931611 then 4359 underneath? It's from a Mercruiser Gen 6 engine and I've been searching for days with no luck. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated... Thanks

the 2 stock mercruiser cams are .483 lift. so, get a set of digital calipers and measure lobe height minus base circle size. if you get something like .284 it is a stock merc cam. the mag and lopo 310 or 340 cams differ in duration and lobe sep. neither is worth writing home about. if measures at .300 and .317 it is most likely a HO cam. 510-540 lift. 112 lobe sep. little more duration. still designed by GM with durability and warranty issues being way ahead of how much power you get. numbers on end of cam? sometimes I think guys are writing girls phone numbers on them to see if anybody calls them. cuz otherwise they are pretty meaningless...why do you care about this cam? what are you building?

Could be a volvo penta spec cam in there , have seen many in otherwise run of the mill gm efi motors that didnt have the usual non emissions gm part # on the ends

Got this cam and 2 others, just trying to see what they are before I buy another one..

go to autozone or harbor freight get a digital caliper for 20 bucks. then a least you will know the lift of all 3.
