I put on Hardin tips with the internal rubber flaps and was surprised at how much they still clanked. I took them out and just stuck with the rubber ext flaps.

I bought those same flappers from cp performance. Haven't used them yet. I have stock 88 brass tips and I had to have them machined down inside and outside to fit. I hope that they will be ok. I'm putting the motor back together and I bought a set of stainless marine manifolds and tailpipes. I hope it works. I didn't want the butterfly flaps since they fall apart so I figured I would try it. Do they restrict the exhaust flow that much?
