Cannon Plug / 10 pin connector

Trying to track down intermittent electrical problem. Can't seem to disconnect the wire harness plug to inspect. I assumed it just pulled apart but it does not budge. there is a rubber boot over the large end, does that need to be removed fully? Does it just pull straight out?
Thanks,
Padraig

There is usually a hose clamp on it. Other than that it should pull apart

Hose clamp is off. Guess I. Need to pull harder. I didn't want to break anything. Already pulled quite hard.

stick a tiny screwdriver in there and spray WD40 next to screwdriver. work the screwdriver around perimeter to unstick the 2 pieces of rubber from each other.

Thanks, I will try that as it looks as if that may be the problem.

Running late as I just got back from ER. Wife tripped while on a walk. Sprained ankle, banged up face, black eye. Spent hours there as they needed to check for concussion etc. She is OK but pretty beat up. Yesterday was our 45th Anniversary. Best thing I ever did was marry that girl.

Trick also works on exhaust and water hoses.
