ive looked at both of these subs in person and they both seem to be built pretty well, the memphis is slightly beefier than the kicker in design cosmetically in my opinion. I am not looking for the best option out of all the subwoofers on the market because i do understand there are better ones out there. I am just trying to figure out of these 2 subwoofers, which will be the better of the 2 for my setup.

I would go with the Memphis subs over the Kicker. The Memphis can handle 200 watts RMS while the Kicker only 150RMS. These are both lower powered subs so you can run either 2 or 4 - just depends on how you wire it, the amp will give you enough power either way.

I have been very happy with my 10" Alpine Marine Subs. I have had them for 8 years and no issues. I'm putting over 200 RMS watts to each one.
They should fit your budget also and you may want to consider them.

I ended up ordering 4 memphis 10" and will wire them parallel and bridge the dvc to have them at 2ohm which will let the amp push them at 250rms 2ohm per sub. They should hit pretty good, I will update once i get everything installed and test it out. Just have to figure out where to add the extra 6.5 mid range speakers because on these 29 outlaws theres not much free area to work with unlike my old 302

Wow- this makes me feel good.I just bought a boat and it has 3 Memphis amps, I did not even know Memphis audio was a brand or a good brand when I bought it. I guess the old owner had good taste. Are they really from memphis??

Rat rod,
please let us know how they work out- are yours labeled MM or are they the private label version? They look good but haven't seen much feedback.

Thanks!
