Oh wow, so it can't be the clutches then... So I am back to coupler or ?

I think the first thing you need is a basic tune up to make sure the engine is making all its HP. You said it was not running very well.

My theory------
Probably not making the low end power it should to get you on plane and then when the bow starts coming down, there is less load on the engine, it revs and cavitates the prop.
Also, trim should be all the way down to get on plane.

So, apparently I am an idiot. I finally got the boat back from the top shop and took it out with a buddy that is a marine mechanic. The boat worked great and we could not get it to duplicate the problem. The only thing I can figure is that the trim was up a little bit (despite me trying to put it down down), that I had too much beef in the back seat of the boat, and that the water was really choppy, causing the waves to beat on the underside of the boat as it was trying to nose over. I don't know if it was some combination of this or all of it, but it seems to be fine now. Thank you again for all of your help guys!
