Winterizing, Motor Antifreeze?
 
I'M GETTING READY TO WINTERIZE AND NEED TO FILL MY MOTOR WITH ANTIFREEZE IM WONDERING HAS ANYONE EVER TRIED JUST USING THAT MARINE RV ANTIFREEZE ITS FOR SINKS, TOILETS AND PLUMBING I DONT HAVE A RADIATOR AND ITS GOT A TRANSOM MOUNT FRESH WATER P/U WITH A HOSE FITTING PIPED IN FOR WINTERIZING AND DRY RUNNING. ??? THANKS IN ADVANCE

I use Propolene (sp) in the motors and red pop int he fresh water.

Depends on where you are. In Northern MI that won't cut it. I have seen it freeze in the toilet of my cottage. Maybe not enough to burst but if you have any void where fresh water can stand it may. That happened to the toilet. The green stuff is rated lower, helps to lubricate (ever feel how slippery it is) and is pretty much fool proof. Pull your thermostats for the utmost safety because it may close when the cold anifreeze is introduced. I leave the block full to prevent corosion.
