Coolant and air temp sensors. You should be able to find the ohms vs temp values and easily check with an ohm meter.

AND MAP sensor - for rich conditions

start up very rich can also be leaking injectors - The 500 EFI are very poor injectors.

iat on a 500efi tune wouldnt do it even if sensor thought it was -40 as it has very little fuel modification % if any from what i rember. Ect, i think it adds 18 or 22% if it defaults to -40 c, bad map sensor could easily do it but it would be chuggy and on verge of flooding anytime you werent at 100 map/wot any time it was running. If your ect was bad it would ad that extra fuel all the time also, not just at start up

Is tune stock or modified, i was tuning a whippled 38 sonic and we had cranking prime pulse or initial key cycle prime pulse the same as 502mpi and for some reason a stock 500 didnt use it and everytime we key cycled it and cranked it it chugged a cloud of fuel and loaded up the plugs to point it was almost flooded.
