1972 marauder

I have recently bought and am in the process of renovating a 1972 Marauder. I have had trouble locating an owners manual. i believe it once had a propane tank for the stove and oven due to the connectors and switch that indicates LPN. Every forum I have read about indicates an alcohol stove. Any input as to what size propane tank it used? Also please help locate an owners manual. Thanks

The Hull Truth forum you may find some info. in truth, it doesn't matter. propane tank inside your boat? doesn't strike me as a good idea. cooking inside a small boat? in warm weather? you are heating up the inside of a non-air conditioned area. collectors item value? resale value? a 40 year old boat is worth roughly the value of it's engine and drive. if you want this boat for yourself, that is fine. but look over every piece of structural wood inside the boat before you decide you are going to spend time and lots of money bringing it back to life.

Hindsight.

Too late. We have already put over 13000.00 into it. Guess the 6500.00 sale price was not the bargain we anticipated.

Out of curiosity , is this one of the Marauders that was made out on the West Coast back when the Florida performance boat market was finding its feet ?
I remember a way back when Powerboat Magazine test on them . They were definitely trying to create an image of their own compared to the Aronow inspired boats.
If my old brain recalls correctly there was (I think) a 22' and a 24' that might have had a flying bridge . Unless I'm mistaken and it was 2 different layouts for the same 24' hull the 22' was sort of based on the Donzi 22c concept.
They claimed a revolutionary new 24 degree bottom and a love it or hate it styling .
I've never heard a peep about them since , unless this is a different 'Marauder'
