Under Counter Ice Box

The galley in my Scarab is getting a makeover and I want to install an icebox under the counter. Does anyone know where these can be sourced? I've looked for three days and have come up with nothing.

found one ebay no dimensions listed. BOAT ICE BOX COOLER BEIGE (#46) | eBay

Thanks, I saw that one. The only problem is, it doesn't mount under the counter. It's more of a refrigerator without any of the guts inside it.

this is what came with my Fastec. Slides under the sink area. Definitely not a yeti, but not that price either, and works ok for what it is.

I've got a nice RTIC cooler, that will fit on the other side of the Galley. I'm having a Corian countertop made for the Scarab and thought while I'm getting a new top, I might as well have a built in cooler. As it always is, it's easier said than done.

It's not that hard but I wasn't working with corian. I had a starboard door built by boat outfitters to close in the opening the refrigerator originally occupied, a 3 day cooler for $30, a 2" x 6", a 1"x1", carpet, 1' of drain hose, and 2 thru hull fittings. Mine drains right out the hull as the ice melts, top loads and has a smoked plexiglass cover to close the hole in the counter so I can put a coffee maker or microwave right on top. Also gained a TON of storage space under the cooler. Additionally said cooler does not sweat. Plexiglass cover not pictured. Total cost was about $300 with the starboard door and plexiglass (custom cut, beveled etc.) being the most expensive part of the project.

Tractionless I like that hatch/door. How much did they charge and how long to make it?

I've been thinking of doing exactly as you did.
Thanks!

$175 range shipped with the stainless (option) pull / latch and built to my exact specs. Took them less than a week. They built the 1st incorrectly and sent me a 2nd, while letting me keep the 1st. I sold the first and that cost of the project was almost a wash.

Great, let us know how it turns out. The only "rough" part of mine is the particle board edge you can see in the opening; however, I did paint it silver to disguise some. I haven't thought of any type of molding etc. yet that I can attach to clean it up yet.

Also, for the plexiglass cover I simply attached (3m 5200) 90* kitchen cabinet shelf supports on the inside face at the corners to hold it centered in the countertop hole.
