MI carb guy
I've been trying to think of the name of the guy I believe smitty used on a low comp 540 build over summer. At least I think it was smitty. Short on time so I didn't want to do a bunch of searching. Seems like centrally located Michigan area and went to dyno session with his 4150 carb 850 and works his magic and flowed like 1,100 plus.
Tks for any info. I need to send 4 850's out to this guy. Norm ? Rings a bell. |

That was fast. Tks very much. I didn't mean to be lazy, just working a lot of hours with little help this time of year. http://www.compfuelsystems.com/ for those who may be interested. |
UPDATE I called norm and left message. He called back within a half hour. I was very impressed with not only his knowledge but also his willingness to take the time to work through my builds with me and just plain ol nice individual. I had just about near everything I needed to complete my builds but he changed my directions slightly and will be shipping off my carbs to him shortly. Anyway just wanted to say what a good experience I had with him. I realize there are other excellent specialty carb shops but I just wanted to share my experience with him today.
Cheers! |
Norm has done several carbs for my transmission customers in past months, adding adjustable air bleeds, adjusting idle feed restrictions for specific applications, adding secondary idle mixture screws etc. He knows his carbs and does good work, wealth of knowledge, smitty
