10 spline or 26 spline input. here is 10 spline. Damper Drive Flex Plate for Volvo Penta Marine ZF Hurth replaces 841892-3 eBay here is 26 spline. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Centa-Marine...VZscCg&vxp=mtr if you add hurth to your search it removes the thousands of velvet drive plates and everything else. now, from what I hear, the standard chevy bell housing bolt pattern fits 5 of the 6 bolts on the rear wheel drive ls engine. BUT there is .4 inch diff in flywheel to mounting flange distance. your best bet is to talk to the people who sell these and find the ls engine forum.

Is this to bad? Marine Drive Plate GM Chevy 454 Damper 26 Spline 7K2C 1004-650-007 BBD3131UL | eBay
ZF 63A have 26 spline. |
don't know. can Hurth zf trannys bolt up to velvet drive adapter plates? they both say 26 spline. doesn't mean they work. will ANY work with the 4/10th inch diff in spacing using an LSx engine? I still think since there are so many more old-style engine options for you in Europe, you are better off with that. AND, running a Hurth trans implies more low-rpm use than an outdrive typically runs. the LS engine still makes less torque in the 3k rpm range than the old iron stuff. BTW, what trans, flywheel, adapter plate do you have now? what engine came out? or is this a scratch build and you are buying the parts as you go?

Engine have originally instaled flex plate 14", but I do not know should I change it with flywheel or not? |
yes you will HAVE to relace the flex plate with a clutch flywheel. AND you will need a flywheel with the ring gear on the back side of the flywheel for the different starter location. I don't know if they make one. standard flywheels come with ability to move ring gear to other side of flywheel. you can PROBABLY use the standard starter in the standard location if correct flywheel cant be obtained.

Thank you, will do it.
http://www.partsworldperformance.com...gines-12571611 It mean we need to drill in flywheel connection coils for damper plate? |
looking at LS3 flywheels it looks like ring gear can only go on front of flywheel, so you are limited to block (lower) mounted starter. top mount wont engage ring gear.

Thank you wery much for this advices!!!
First will wait that engine arrive and search flywheel and damper plate later. Only 50 km from me in Austria it is service for PCM and Indmar. Will visit them for this isue, perhaps with engine on trailer. Is it flex plate to light to not be suitable for marine use? (Foto on left bottom.) You need the rotating mass of either the flywheel or the torque converter to keep engine spinning smoothly at low rpm. Otherwise each compression will slow engine down and each fire will speed engine up. Plus, put it in gear and it will stall. Flywheels. I don't know if the LS engine is external or internal balance. Fairly sure external. I also don't know if balance changes with engine displacement. I THINK it does. So the different stroke cranks and different weight pistons will-I believe-want a different balance flywheel. EDIT: OK, apparently these are all internal balance engines. on some corvettes they fine tuned the balance while they didn't bother on Camaros. so some will look like external balance. some of these ebay flywheels say ls1,2,3,7 all the same. some say ls2,3,7 need different flywheel from ls1. so, take your time, do some homework.

Nice homework, will do it.
