What carbs would you use for a stock 420

I was wondering what the STOCK ones would have came with new. The dealer wants to replace the carbs instead of rebuilding them. He is thinking 650's. Seems a little lite to me.

Understandable at $100+hr, but you'd be better to take them off and have someone else rebuild them.

I believe the motors are stock 420's but he is thinking they are 370's. Either way, they have been rebuilt. From what I can tell there is an aluminum intake and Stainless Marine exhaust on it with 420 air breathers. I'm buying this boat and he is doing
the carbs as part of the deal. So, I would rather have new ones. I just don't want too small CFM.
Dumb question, would there be a problem if I got him to get 800's when it should only have 650 or 700? Is it gonna run too rich?

If your dealer cannot tell what carbs are on the engines and what carbs should be on the engines then I wouldn't even trust them to install new, proper CFM carbs.

Not many mechanics (auto / boat / sled / motorcycle) know carburetors anymore. Younger generation is mostly FI. Yes, we are getting old.
