Thru Hull Exhaust steam and gas slick
Hey All,
Question. Is it normal to have thrull hull exhaust steam when the temperatures outside are a little cooler? Oil pressure is good, engine temp is also good. Is steam normal? also is it normal for the exhaust to throw a gas slick in the water when idling?

Short answer for most application -NO!
For the forum to begin to help with an accurate answer, you will be best advised to provide as much info on boat/engine details incl. engine hours and exhaust design

How many hours since last tune up? If you have a corroded dist cap or bad plug wire or plug you could be blowing a little unburned fuel out one of the exhaust ports or potentially more than one. How many hours on the engine? Also is the fuel slick more noticeable during warm up or pretty much all the time. Compression test might not be a bad idea either.
