yes I did but not really what my head guy wanted for optimum performance with what he's done with the heads.

Looking for 900 plus. Static comp is 8.2 and probably 6-7 pds boost. i thought the cam would be close to right on considering merc had to spend some R&D time but jim would like to see a little more lift and less duration. I understsnd what his angle is but.... He has a great grind for his NA 565 TR that peaks hp right at 6k. 236/242 I believe. I think his concern is with higher duration cam port velocity gets lazy.

So how much lift is he suggesting with that duration? Hate to see you have to sell them on Facebook.

They are older tech and are harder on valvetrain than some of the newer grinds.

evidently there was a couple different grinds that went into 900's according to norm at cfs (competition fuel system). The earlier ones had some pretty steep ramps and very quick to come off and back on the seat.

New springs and lifters every 50-75 hrs but if I'm not mistaking that hasn't changed even today. No real biggie as that's about every 2 seasons Btwn work and weather yet if there was other choices without sacrificing power and easier on valvetrain I'd consider.
