Anyone use or know of any Howard's out there. If so apprx hours of use?

Never had an issue with their products

I noticed their reg firing order hyd rollers are non billit hover several others are. Just wanted to throw that in there. Tks adk

There are 2 levels of core... sand cast and billet
Core.. the sand cast core cams are very reasonable in price and in certain applications they're ample ... ultra performance applications should use a billet core as some elevated spring pressures are par for the coarse...
budget guys usually opt for the lesser expensive cast core

I was surprised to see some of there hyd roller grinds sand cast even with the lighter spring pressures. No biggy. wonder if they farm out their billit and in house cast or farm out both. just searching and checking out comps lobes and some of Howard's grinds. Just noticed they are about 100.00 diff. Billit all the way.

I love Howards. I first bought one of their cams no one had herd of them but they had the grind I wanted and I couldn't afford a custom grind for a Mark IV 496 stroker roller motor I was building. 5, 6, 7 years now later I've broke it a couple times and had to do rebuilds and at one point (2 years ago) I replaced the block and heads because it was getting to thin. Still using the same cam.

i recently rebuilt a pro charged 489 [4.280by4.250]that had a howards non billit hyd roller,it had 11 seasons on it.

Yup sounds about right... $100ish between cast core and billet

I have been running Howards Hyd. Roller Cams in my 540's for 10 years,,no problem.

Landis LT1VE capable of profile accuracy to .00012 , and up to 70mm cam cores. 100% american made cores. Howards Cams has also purchased a new Adcole 911-36NT for checking accuracy of this increased production. The 911-36NT allows for measurements up to 36 inches in length with an accuracy of 0.0001 micron and 0.001 degree of resolution

Comp cams has probably the most extensive line of BBC hydraulic roller and solid roller lobe profiles I have seen. But generally speaking, most of the typical lobes are available from all the big cam companies. Crane, Comp, Lunati, Howards, etc.
