Well, I couldn't find a set of install instructions anywhere. The biggest thing was, I could not tell how the IMCO kit fit. There is only one picture on the web. They all use the same picture. So, I decide to tear off the front end of the motor and modify mine. I forgot my little drain pan to drain the oil out of the upside down oil filter. Why the hell do they do that? Is there a specific purpose? Anyway, I digress. So I leave the motor in shambles only to return on Tuesday. When I get home I decide to look again for a set of instructions. Just by chance, I go to CP Performance, one of the places who is an IMCO dealer. I study and study the one picture and then I see a tab that says "Installation Instructions". Nah!!!! Could it be that easy? Click on that, and low and behold there is the IMCO oil filter relocation instructions in glowing black and white. After reading them, I decide that this little upgrade is the way I want to go. Simple, clean and easy. I should have just ordered it in the first place. I know that those IMCO dudes are pretty slick and they have some good ideas. Like their power steering/alt bracket to move the ps forward to allow their manifolds to clear the hose on the 454 I had then. This little mod would have saved me from a lot of extra needless work.
At least I will have something to do till the end of the week. Replace the stuff I took off. On the bright side, I can easily get to my oil cooler right now to make sure it's clear and clean. Thanks for the suggestions.
