^^^^^^^^^^^^^ back in my day when basically everything came in that was a marine carb app and when gas turn into thick brown varnish plugging up everything. I home made a really good carb cleaning machine out of a unit that was basically a vibrating tumbler to clean bolt / nuts / hardware.

Made a base with a tank to sit on top of that - put TYME in the tank - put the stripped down carb(s) and some of the related parts in the tank - then turn on the machine to vibrate. The carbs came out very clean. We painted and clear coat sealed the carbs externally after all the cleaning / rinsing / drying.

TYME is made CRC. Have not used in years but back then it was a very strong good cleaner for carbs and other parts.

I made a redneck version of a parts cleaner for bigger stuff since my wife has frowned upon me using her small ultrasonic jewelry cleaner! :D
I dont have any pics of it but its more or less along the lines of this:

only difference is i used a big 5gal bucket with a lid and a basket inside it

At my school the Formula SAE team uses this to clean all the engine parts for the car. We use Simple Green Crystal for the cleaning solution. It gets used about 4-5 times a week for about 6-8 hours at a time. The bin is huge and can accommodate a lot of parts. The tank holds 27 L (7.13 gallons) of water. Ive even put parts in on an angle that were too big and flipped them over..
