Lower crank pulley HP500
10 Attachment(s)
I'm in the process of moving my power steering pump back to the Port side factory location on a 99 HP500. The boat had a M1 procharger set up and have removed all the relocation brackets, I noticed the lower crank pulley for the v belts from the procharger set up had the power steering belt pushed forward a 1/2 in. I realize these pulleys are no longer produced by Merc and the OE part number for the mine was 90081T. So I bought what I thought was the right crank pulley 90081C (just not high dollar merc blue I thought was the only difference) on ebay and you can see in the pic that the back side of the pulley where it should fit the face of the balancer is too small (which won’t center the pulley correctly). But according to many google searches this pulley should work as it used on small blocks and big blocks (which I know the center of the harmonic balancers are different) I'm just afraid it won’t center correctly. Also is it normal on a big block for the crank bolt/ washer to mate with the balancer and the pulley bolt on top of it? Hoping the OSO brain trust can help me figure this out.
