Blower Re-timed?
 

Can a blower be Re-timed?

I have weiand 177, with some gear lash on the inside splines on the right side drive gear and the rotors have kissed a few times.

The left side has .065 shims and the right has .073. And if I remove the shims on the right there is no gear lash.

Is there a way to Re-time the rotors to keep the proper rotor clearance while removing/reducing the shims on the right side drive gear?
