However, the pressure sender can go anywhere. It doesn't matter if it's in a dead end. Pressure is pressure. You can move it just down from where it is now. Right in front of the filter pad on the pan rail are (2) 3/8" ports. You can use either one of them for the pressure sender. We typically use a 3/8 x 1/8 bushing and then a 1/8" 90* street ell to turn the sender 90*.

Would the pressure sensor location for the oil temp sensor be considered cooled oil or hot oil? Thanks for the info above.

Where I'm talking about putting it in the block just above the filter pad is cool, filtered oil. That is reading the oil as it reenters the block and is headed for the bearings.

The issue with that is you take the cooler out of the equation. If you have 300 deg oil in the pan and have a 2" cooler, then the oil may be 250 deg going into the engine. If it has a 3" cooler, the oil may be under 200 deg. Personally, I want to know what the bearings are seeing. Ideally, it would be nice to know both but it's not very practical. It can be done though.

Your right. I was doing pan sender for test purposes but yes in reality your 100% correct.
