Flame arrestor
Who makes the flame arrestor I see are on most supercat motors? they are the least restrictive I've seen, saw one on the sunprint SVL motor as well I need one....................................Robertjr

Not sure however when I dynoed my 496 I did pulls with all the screening and a pull with just the single outer to see if there was a difference and there was none. I wouldn't run with just a single due to safety and coastguard but just wanted to know. That was with 5X10 gafrigs.

I think the base has a lot to do with them.
The best ones being ones with a slight curve into the carb opening.
When I went to the dyno, I made a pull with the K&N 14by3" arewsror that a good number of folks will say is a restrictive unit.
I lost 1 horsepower compared to the dyno air hat.
Along with the arrestor, you have to account for the availability of fresh air in the engine room.
Can you post a picture of the supercat units you're talking about? My supercat engine had a dominator on it when I bought it.

No pics and can't seem to find any either, I may have to make one ie. butcher a cheaper aluminum one unless someone can give the info. May just call Innovation in Sarasota

I have some pics of them --- I would not use them as I understand no dust out on the water, Yes I understand that, but - if you cleaned flame arrestors daily like I do on service boats - one would agree better filtration was needed. Belt dust, dirt, carpet fibers, fiberglass dust, sound proofing material that stuff dries out and forms so much dust sucked thru arrestor, plus alot other material goes thru the arrestor.
Never seen an engine make more horsepower while chit is sand blasting the rings and cylinder walls as its going thru the arrestor. Flame arrestors offer ZERO filtration and is huge part of IAC failures in marine apps on top of.
