help with fuel pump selection

So I had originally intended on running an electric aeromotive pump that I bought second hand on here however I think after all is said and done without running returns to tanks and a huge expensive regulator the pump is simply too big..so I'm back to mechanicals...I think at my power level the mechanical will be more than enough

engine...
454 bored .030 over with flat tops dart heads 256 blower with dual holley 700s
est. HP...650ish

pump choices..

my question with this one is that I have the pump on water pump setup and I'm wondering if I buy this if I can simply take the bottom portion of the pump off and put it on my merc housing as I believe the drive arm is different on the water pump mounted fuel pumps

next option..
High Performance Fuel Pump Upgrade For Raw Water Pump Mounted Fuel Pumps On Big Block Chevy Gen 5 & 6 Engines - Hardin Marine

this is designed to work with the style pump I have and just want to make sure it will work for me??

I'm open to other options if anyone has any?? Can't really justify a huge pricetag at my power level but if needed I guess I'll have to get what I need...any opinions would help greatly thanks!!

Do a search on here for CV products fuel pump that I believe fits your application, Its been mentioned here before. They do many custom pieces for NHRA and nascar teams, Its where they got there start

I believe 120-130 GPH pump is borderline small for a blown 454. 120 and 130 are free flow rates, at 7-8 psi the probably will flow 80-90 GPH. You are going to probably need a true 70 GPH @ WFO! That is a little close even for me.

Thats a nice looking pump. Truly self regulated? No return line needed?

Really no need to go electric, mechanicals are a simple, no wiring and cheap.

That's kinda what I was thinking...jumped the gun on the electric pump but the more I'm reading and researching this I'm thinking mechanical is for me...simple and easy...any more opinions on which to use?? is the KE add on the best option for me that's not an arm and a leg hahaha

thanks

Just finishing it up,, 454, AK alum heads with work, 8.5:1 731 cam. 525sc blower, redone with keyed shaft , stainless marine exhaust and a Bill Mitchel 1050 dominator. Should make somewhere between 600-625. I have acouple different size pullys, so once its on the dyno and running decent I want to try and actually dial it back down a little...
