The octane rating system in Europe is different from the US.
The US uses the AKI and the EU uses RON. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating Just run your lower octane fuel. It will be about the same as 89 octane US and will be fine without doing any additional tuning. |

^^^^^^^^^^^^ I know and another reason why I posted even thou some might have a 96 and on mefi 1 ECM -- I have seen that changed out for whatever reason by whomever to the exact MEFI 1 ECM that pertains to this service bulletin I posted.... . Not uncommon

2000, MEFI3 502 here, When I ran with 92-93 the transom full of soot after the weekend. Filled with 87 and transom stays clean. Been running 87 ever since.
