You can ignore those codes. They are caused by open circuits because you don't have anything attached to them. As for your "clacking" sound, based on what I've read so far, my money is on collapsed lifter. With the valve cover off, using a starter button and key in off position, turn the engine over a few times and press down on the back of each rocker (on the pushrod side) as the pushrod is coming up. If you can push it backwards, then the lifter is collapsed.

No. Separate the top half to expose the lower manifold bolts that go into the head. Not a hard job |
