I'm thinking the trim pump plug. This is a 3 prog plug and can ( and has) broke contact inside the plug. Would not be the first time the plug broke contact inside the connector

Sure the green was corrosion and not the green grease used to lube the contacts?

Yes it was full of the green lube but one contact was copper colored and the other was green corrosion sanded the one off and it worked perfectly.
