Insta trim 200 gauge

just bought a 98 272 and half the gauge doesn’t display. What can I check? Or is it as simple as a gauge replacement?

Pretty much toss it and install the newer model. The old one had flat ribbons going to the gauge. That ribbon casing gets brittle and dries out at the tabs and ends up splitting and the wires then are exposed. The new ones use what looks like a phone cable, Cat5???

The kit comes with new trim ram senders, gauge and cables. Gotta replace the senders, not interchangable. A pretty easy change over. Plug and play
