525efi 3 beep alarm

had a alarm sound on me yesterday. Motor started the day fine ran for a while had lunch and as soon as I turned the key I got a 3 beep. Motor idled rough and continued the 3 beep. Got on plane and alarm stoped motor ran great. Went to put put it on the trailer and same thing, 3beep even with out starting the motor. I put new IAC on it about 8 hours ago. Any suggestions, I got the marina going to run a code scanner on it just wondering if anybody had any thoughts without having to pay for that. Appreciate the help in advance.

needs to put up his engine serial number first and foremost. earlier 525 are not set up like the later ones. And depending on engine serial number -- they can have voltage issues. I am coming up with a fix for that end VERY SOON.

it is wise to have scan reports to compare every year - year after year. Matter of fact 2 scans a year is good to have ---the reports can be logged to catch issue(s) before they become bigger issues - (comparing reports can help for that ).

A great example just for one parameter to keep eyes on is water pressure readings to compare from beginning boating season to say mid season . I Print all scan reports and keep them on file for everyone that boats that are in my hands. And of course I charge for the scan..

I'm putting chips on Red and a bad water pressure sensor :duel:.

Ok that is because we just had that sensor go bad.

I’ll let you know if your the big winner. Thanks for the input. Did you have a rough idle from that sensor?

No rough idle. Just beep and guardian mode over 3500 rpms.

I hear you if it was moved and or installed by whomever as per the issue(s) plus warning horn was right after that.

A scan of the engine is needed here.
