Mercruiser 377 MPI with Whipple Supercharger experience?

Hello,
i run two Mercruiser 377 in my boat. Both engines have only 117h.
My idea for the winter is a upgrade with Whipple superchargers.
Exhaust is a Imco Powerflow.. The rest of the engines is Original.

Have anyone experience with this engines with Supercharger?

Its only a small boat with 26ft. Bigblock is too much with the weight.

Thanks

How much of a gain if any did your exhaust help the 6.2s?

I dont know it. I Change the exhaust when i add the new engines to my boat.

I run the Mercury 383 400 hp scorpion motor. I can tell you from experience that the pistons are hypereutectic. I really dont think its a good idea to boost these motors. If you are looking for light weight and more horsepower you would be better off going with an LS motor IMO

Pistons are a weak point and the 4.5 qt oil capacity and no oil cooler would be another concern.

Also i added a big oil cooler on the motor.

Which cooler did you go with?

16"long, 2" diameter

Have someone other expieriences?
was this all?

Or is here one, that running a whipple on a 350 or 377 mpi?
I think 5 psi is not very much, and with a oil cooler and a temperature gauge can this run?

Big job to replace pistons, go with it until one melts..
