I don't know why you are arguing either since you are only regurgitating the wrong info that has been spread already.
No, Bob gave the specs for a Crane cam and this is not a Crane cam. Howard's and Herbert's both have a cam with .450/.465 lift. Since I measured .300 that is exactly .450 when multiplied by a 1.5 rocker arm, not .452 as the Crane cam measures. Crane did not grind this cam. Period, end of story. I sent them a pic of it and they stated as much. Feel free to call them tomorrow and ask for Robert, even though he will probably answer the phone. I measured it with some very good calipers, more than once. This is a classic GM cam marking pic serial plate Isky makes one too |

Dispelling the myth that a .450/.465 cam was never installed into a 5.7 (350) Mercruiser. This is straight from the manual that Mercury sent me. Notice that the 5.7 and 6.2 have the same specs on lift even though the part numbers on the cams are different. I suspect that the 6.2 has more duration but they were stuck at .465 lift with the factory Vortec limitations

Read this: Guess Who Made Your Cam from nastyz28.com Guess who made your cam? | NastyZ28.com https://www.kendrick-auto.com/chevro...ory-cam-specs/ My bet... your can is an OEM copy of the Crane Compucam I mentioned previously. While the second link does not mention your cam, it does prove the point of Crane being the supplier of performance cams for GM. Tie the two together, and think you’ll have your answer. |
This is a really weird thread. Atleast no animals where hurt in the making of it.

I blame it on the winter. |
Just tell everyone that its a full race cam for a small block and be done with it.............

So in a nutshell we still got nothing! My degree wheel will be here Sunday and I will do my best to figure out the duration |

I don't care about that. I want to know what it is and if it will be good for my use |
