Do the new k-plane transom plates work with old lowers?

Does anyone know if the new k-plane transom plates work with old lower plates? I know the new ones have provisions for electronic gauges, but do the pivot shaft holes for the hydraulic pistons line up, work with the old shafts? I'm thinking of replacing them since they are just starting to corrode where the indicator cable goes through. It looks like the corrosion is starting from the back side of the plate that is against the transom. I've seen a lot of plates corrode there. I'm wondering if it can be stopped if I take them off and refinish?

I'm not sure what boat you have, but all the bolts should come all the way through and have a nut on the inside of the transom. Depending on how old the k-planes are, you can no longer get the transom plates. The newer version of the k-planes have bigger mounting studs for the hydraulic piston and do not work with the older tabs. So you have to find a donor set of k-planes with good transom plates if your corrosion is bad. I already had my motors out, so I'm not sure if you have to remove the motors. Once again, I don't know what kind of boat you have. I think it would be pretty hard to get to mine with the motors in.You probably would have to remove the riser and exhaust on the outside of each motor. It still would be tight.
