V Band Connections with Wet Exhaust?

I am assuming V band connections on wet exhaust will work fine? I have a relatively complex side exit exhaust set up (inboard mufflers, H-pipe, switchable exhaust); love the sound, but dismantling the system for any reason is like going through a back to back MMA match . I think a couple of strategically placed V band connections in the system will make things much easier to disassemble should the need arise. It looks as if various gaskets can also be used if a watertight seal is not achieved. Anyone have any knowledge or experience for this application? Any reason not to try? Thanks in advance!

Dry joint with jumper hose should work. Although a double oring groove and wet joint could be done if you have the machine/weld skills.

i would at a minimum run v bands with an oring on the sealing face

Dry joint definitely not in the cards...running silent choice / short riser.
