4150’s. That’s exactly what I am afraid watching it Grenade on the dyno!! We ring them out in the boat all the time but it feels different on the dyno... Are you on FB? |
my whippled 588s have hyd roller cams 262/[email protected] with 650 lift, easy on the valve train and north of 1200 hp and 1100 ft pounds of torque.imo your heads are too small for 572 inch engine and will loose some higher rpm hp.

Yes to make maximum power the heads are a little small! But the check book is screaming already. Mike was that a custom grind? Power plant. |

I can only imagine. You'll be fine. You mentioned chamber CC's but not intake runner CC's. If I had to guess I would say around 340 or so with the flow numbers you posted. Your cam will work well with heads at the rpm I would imagine you'd like to run at WOT. (Under 6k). I see do see where mike is coming from but... I'm trying to think back if it was smitty that did a 548 build or there close to it with a 315 head and made near 1,000 hp. Have to do a search, it was a few years back. Mike was that a custom grind? Power plant. |
