Corsa exhaust issue
Well the Corsa Quick and Quiet II system on my boat has me scratching my head. I bought the boat last year, 05 30 Outlaw with twin 496 mags. When I bought the boat one of the exhaust solenoids on the port motor was inoperable. I replaced it with a new solenoid from Corsa with no change, but I don't really care as they are all in the open position (through hull). I ran the boat all of last season and I hated the Corsa silencer tips that the boat came with and I replaced them with Hardin Marine slash cut tips with internal flappers. From the day I bought the boat, I noticed that when running it on the hose the starboard motor has a decent flow of water coming out of the exhaust tips and a small amount out of the transom housing.....but when running the port motor on the hose minimal water comes out of the exhaust tips and alot of water comes out of the transom housing. I have lifted the internal flappers and looked up inside the tip to verify that the Quick and Quiet valve is open..which it is...but most of the water is still somehow diverting down and out the transom housing. Water flow through the engine is verified and not an issue. The boat runs great, no overheating , the risers are cool.......just can figure out why the port engine is dumping most of the water out of the transom housing instead of the exhaust tips which are open. I must be missing something.......
