Default I want to borrow a edelbrock proflow 90 mm throttle body for dyno testing

Currently dynoing a 9.8-1 .030 over 502. Using afr ovals, modded edelbrock proflow xt intake, making impressive hp.
The edelbrock tb is 90 mm. Barely flowed mid 900s out of box, vs claimed flow of 1200 or something. Problem is we modded tb before we started dynoing, would like to see what motor makes w out of the box tb. Anyone out there doing a build where they have one loose i could dyno with vs spending 500$ on one that will lay around afterwards Making hp like a 540 and not done tuning, trying a modded ching chong 102 mm tb today with ching chong cheezy tapered adapter (cant mod one of these to bolt a 102 or 105 directly on) thanks, Smitty

238/243, .380 lobe. I leaned this out on my dyno to 13.2 on leanest cyl, pulled 679 hp at 6200 and wasnt flattening out, bsfcs were still good, not climbing. Now with more fuel it previously peaked at 6000 just over 670. This is a customers motor and we stayed with 1053 stock crank and stock rods with intentions of keeping it at about 5800 peak so not going to twist it any higher. This intake with a little work to tb, tb opening and runners isnt bad. It WOULD get small quickly on a bigger motor though with its 90 mm tb limitation. Now, these dyno numbers are using J607, dry dyno headers thru mufflers and no accessorys to keep things in perspective. Going to play with timing a little to see if theres anything left on table anywhere, played with fuel about as much as im going to. I will test this w open headers when im done and with customers eddie marine manifolds w 36" dry tails

The modded ching chong 102 bolted on w a cheezy adapter appeared to pick up tq below the peak by 10 or so ft lbs but it sealed so poorly and even though i had blended it perfect to the adapter and blended the adapter to intake when bolted on while on dyno it had some mismatch. I pissed around two hours, biggest issue is there is very little tstat housg clearance and i had to grind way into the adapter to clear. The map on top DROPPED from 98 ish to 97ish in back to back pulls tq was up down low, hp, tq were down slightly so i tore it back off

They made 723 by pulling on it with 50 more cubes 😂

Theres a dyno plot on edelbrocks website.

Please keep posting results on this, I have been searching for someone who has done this on a boat, very limited info out on this. I have a mild build 540 that has Je blower pistons in it with a set of highly modded GM rectangle port heads that have been angle milled way down where my CC's are close to 105 cc. My short block is like new so just wanting to do heads and intake.I have always been looking at the AFR 290 Head or something that I could get the cc's down on to use a intake like this. Thanks Kip

Nothing left in tune, all in. Took mufflers off today and w open headers made better tq below peak, same hp, around 680. Afrs in mid 12s to 13s at peak. Added a little more fuel by bumping up regulator from 41 to 45, pretty fast sweep rate (bonzai glory pull ) touched 698hp at 6300, was still climbing, fairly stock bott I m end though, already pushing it. I can say this after running this little baby half ass tunnel ram, THERE ARE TUNNEL RAMS IN MY FUTURE!
