If you have room to change the oil filter you can use a thermostatic adapter. I used this Earls 504. Oil tstat begins to open at 160* and is fully open at 180*. -10 ports.

These guys make good thermostats that flow up to 20 gpm, and you can get them with -12 AN fittings. They have sandwich type adapters too but no flow rating on them.https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...edbfa53ef0.jpg

Tried it, sitting on the shelf, could have been my application.

I’m runnin some Mr.Cool tstat controlled coolers on my 580/780s in my Cafe. In cold ocean h20 I’m between 190-200 oil temps, no milkshakes... I have a dirivetive of these, custom length..Attachment 576364 |
I run the same Hardin block adapter that texascuda showed. It works flawlessly. Before I added it, I could wait 20-30 min. To show any oil temp. My temp sender is in the pan of my na 540. |
What temps you see in pan? |

240 in the pan is not a bad reading at all though ... that’s reading the hot side that’s actually a great temperature |
