HP500 white smoke from exhaust

I started up my Merc HP500 (carb) today after rebuilding it this winther. I get white smoke from one the exhaust (GIL with long wet risers). When I losen the risers on both sides they are wet on the inside and you can also se watermarks in the exhuast manifolds. I have cloosed cooling and I think the water in the exhaust taste glycol. Any idé what I have done wrong and what I should try? Can the intake manifold gaskets have a bad seal so water gets to the intake runners?

First ingesting-tasting antifreeze is not a good thing for you.

Second, yes the intake gaskets would be a good start as to chasing down your problem.

Has your coolant level dropped??

I uploaded a video on youtube, can it be reversion? The risers are wet all the way to the exhaust manifold are it’s som wet in it also.

I'd suggest angling the rear of the motor down it could be reverting through the exhaust with it level. Also sounds like it idles too low those motors need to be 750 rpm or more at idle to prevent reversion. If it's anti freeze from closed cooling then I'd start with the intake and if that's not it, I'd leak down test from possible head gasket.
