What is needed for a cam upgrade

Hey guys,

Got a new vortec motor and I wanna do some minor work to this motor,

currently the motor is the Vortec 4 barrel carbed version, Holley dp 650 carb, Edelbrock airgap intake, ac delco voyager ignition, Imco thumper manifolds and risers, exhaust through transom. Looking at the xm270hr by comp cams.

i want to start making a parts list of what I would need. Boat is a 1996 20ft celebrity.

Any thoughts on if that is a good cam, I do have an Alpha one gen 2 drive

To do it properly you would need cam, valve springs, retainers, locks, valve seals, pushrods, and lifters. I may be missing a few things but that's what comes off the top of my head.
