Where to dyno

I have a 260 Baja with a 509 BBC in it. I am new to power boating and want to get the engine tuned, carb, timing, valves, etc. does anyone know of a shop within a couple hundred miles of middle Tennessee that will tune and can dyno with the engine in the boat. After reading here, tuning a marine engine is more important than an engine in a car. Thank you

Eddie Young in Mt. Juliet. He’s a great guy and will tune your motor on dyno and then will dial in it on the water.

Skip White also has a Dyno.

Unless it has changed in the past few years Eddie Young uses Precision Auto Machine in McMinnville for their Dyno and machine work. As it turns out, right in your back door. Eddie is an excellent choice to do the tune as well.

Dyno in the boat ? dont think so, you would need to pull the engine and take it to a shop.

OP’s engine has a carb. Eddie will weld O2 bungs in exhaust and properly jet carb under load while reading sensors.

Well this is awesome. We are pulling the engine tomorrow. Number 7 has a rod knock, a friend of mine in mcminnville is going to tear it down and reassemble it and Precision is doing the machine work. I definitely want to get it dialed in before it goes back in the boat. Hopefully we can get it tuned in, it was running 77 at 5400 rpm with a 25 pitch mirage. It dynoed 554 at 5200. I was sick when it started knocking!!
