I put three sets of their A-2279 lifters in my 525EFI's. Had one collapsed lifter on #4 exhaust on the port engine after 50 hours. Not really sure I can blame the lifter though. I was running springs with way too much seat pressure so that could have contributed to the failure. Also, when I was replacing them, got one that would not fit in the lifter bore and had to send it back.

HyFive what open pressure were you running? Seat pressure is not going to collapse a lifter. I also would have sent those lifters back and told them where to stick them. If a company has that bad of quality control, I would not trust anything from them. For the price of high end parts, there is no excuse for lack of QC.......

I think there are 2 companies, Johnson lifters and Hylift Johnson lifters. Johnson lifters seem to be very good and make many top aftermarket lifters. Had too many sets of Morela fail and went to Johnson with no problems.
