It's a joke about the remote start and boats. We don't boat in freezing temps, so starting a black motor Mercruiser in summer weather is super easy. Stock black, and some blue, motors that use carbs don't lose any benefit to those with EFI,,,unless a million hp sc/turbocharged. :)

There is a HUGE difference between carbs and EFI IF you have any real HP.
EFI idles at the same RPM in gear or out. AND NEVER stalls going in or out of gear.
and this is with a huge cam.
EFI will mellow out some of the cam lope.
