Anyone use the SeaStar extreme mechanical steering with an add-on system

I'm contemplating changing my steering helm and cable to reduce the play in my system. I have an add-on latham hydraulic setup on my 1999 29 outlaw. Anyone have experience with the SeaStar Extreme setup? Especially when it comes to play in the system.
