Default Fault codes 75 and 191 496 mag

I have an 08 mercury 496 mag that is giving me the 75 and 191 code. It’s for high fuel pressure. Is this the cool fuel 3 syndrome? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Unless you have digital fuel tank sender they are irrelevant to you, just ignore

75 Fuel Level 1 Circuit High
191 Fuel level 2 circuit high

The info is depending if you have smartcraft gauges installed or any smartcraft related monitoring and if the sensor is wired / connected into Smartcraft or the related smartcraft related monitor. Also how many gas tanks DO you have.

fuel level 1 is the primary gas tank and that circuit is OPEN again depending on your set up if it is a real fault.

If applicable -- fuel level 2 is the secondary mounted fuel tank and that sensor / circuit is OPEN depending on if you have 2 gas tanks and wired / connected to a smartcraft operating monitor./ gauges.

2 gas tanks in boats are not uncommon. I see about one per week in boating season and Im inland

It’s a Baja outlaw 26’ single fuel tank. It beeps twice every minute or so while running. Also shoots code 94 which says pilot pressure speed sensor but the guy at the repair shop said that was nothing. I really appreciate ya’lls help.

And no, I don’t have the smart craft gauges. S# 1ao77836 if that helps, and again, thanks!

I put a tech mate pro on it earlier and code 75 said fuel level circuit high, code 191 said fuel level 2 circuit high. It also said 100% power. Also code 94 said pilot pressure speed sensor. The engine has 363 hrs on it. The mechanic was saying it had paint delamination in the cool fuel 111 system and would need a whole new fuel system, injectors and all. The boat runs great minus the beeps.

I'll add the motor needs to be scanned for codes, and the water pressure sensor is a high failure item

Code 94 is for the speed o meter, another sender you don't have

fyi to anyone who might be interested, Phil at Michigan Motorz will rent you the Rinda Techmate pro via mail for $50 and a $500 deposit. When he gets it back you get $450 credit. Or buy it w/ needed adapter for $500 out the door. Those guys seem really cool. Js
