Kinda nerve racking looking like we were gonna sink, lol... any more ideas? Thanks again all!

Sounds like a X dimension issue, similar to what Nordic Heats have.

trying playing with it in the driveway untill you find neutral trim, then mark or remember where that is on the indicator. once your on plane set the drie neutral and try triming with the tabs.. some little boat like that.

You need to keep drive tucked down when planning then as soon as up on plane start trimming it out. When slowing down tuck trim back down and yes throttle up to stay out of the title wave. I had the same boat so I understand your issues. I always ran a 23p 3 blade and it ran 63 on gps was my best with low fuel and just myself in boat but was always hard to get on plane if more than 2 people in boat. I sold boat to a friend and years of him having the same troubles I suggested trying a 22p 4 blade. He loves this set up, yesterday I saw him on lake and said show me how it works and with 2 adults and 2teens it jumped out of water and still runs close to 60. Get a 22p 4 blade and it will solve a lot of your washout issues as well I promise

Four blade prop is the answer. Bravo 1 props tend to be overrated in pitch so run one number above what you'd normally run. Good luck.

Thanks for everyone's input. It seems until I get a better prop the "workaround" is to simply get the boat on plane, trim up, then when wanting WOT I need to go easy, trim more, add throttle, trim more, add throttle and so on until I reach WOT. I did this method this weekend and achieved max speed out of the boat. Thanks again guys!

If you go to a Bravo 4 blade prop you will need to go with a 24 not a 26.
If you are spinning a 25 pitch 3 blade Mirage you will not be able to spin a 26 Bravo. Adding the extra blade takes more HP. You might want to try a Mirage Plus - they have more cup and that will help stop blowout. just for giggles put a straight edge that is at least 5 foot long on the bottom of the hull in front of the prop and on each side. hold the straight edge parallel to the keel. Look to see if there is any gap between the edge and the hull. If there is more than 1/8 inch that is a problem and can also cause some of the problems you are having. |

Is there a chance that unknown to the owner this boat has a shorty lower unit on it and it hasn't been propped correctly for it ?
Also , the description of coming off plane with the nose way high and a near rooster tail sounds like what I've seen when people run way over trimmed and pull the throttle back very slowly . |
