That electric low psi/lift pump looks like a Carter. Can you confirm ?

I texted my tech for confirmation which pump is used as there was a different pump a while ago (probably output) but it's a carter and priced as a PCM

Until my tech gets back with the output specs on the new engines LP pump.. an old Nautique had a Carter P4389 with the Zinc coating (marine CG)

That maybe another (ie: one of a few) reason there set up works better than Merc's. They (Merc) don't seem to use an electric pump that is good at 'lifting.' Whereas, the Carter's are decent at 'lifting' the fuel.

It is very easy for a normal electric pump to create vapor lock on the 'suction' side since they like to cavitate when trying to pull fuel. Then add a 'anti siphon valve' that needs pretty strong 'suction' to open it, and wallah......add a little warm fuel and an easy to vapor lock one at that, and again, wallah.

My former tech got back to me... the carter pump/combo was used up until '06 and part of the retrofit kit due to the plumbing... the new FCC has the small lift pump on the side of the FCC (BUP's Pic)

The new gen of PCM's H5 and H6 (Gm small blocks) are running mechanical Direct injection pumps (1500psi) under the intake
