I read running without it can cause oil consumption due to the PVC valve being directly above the tray?

If you're running the stock lower plenum I would not remove it, as you read its an issue with the PCV location

Leaving it out will cause oil consumption. I quickly replaced them on my 525s when I figured out what the issue was. No more problem.

You guys make it sound like relocating the pcv is an act of god...plug the old one and throw it in one of the heads. Done. We’ve been running it fine for 3 years.
